St Mary’s Nenagh 6-9 St Pius Magherafelt 0-2

Despite their valiant display, Ulster Champions, St Pius Magherafelt lost out to a superb Tipperary side in Saturday’s All-Ireland semi-final.  St Mary’s Nenagh have a strong camogie tradition and their experience showed throughout.  St Pius’ held them well though in the first half and lloked to be growing in confidence.  However, the pace and strength of the Tipperary players was evident in the later stages of the game and they ran out convincing winners.

The Ulster champions will be disappointed not to have reached the final but the players and the management team of Therese McCann and Patrice Brolly can be extremely proud of their achievements this year and, with most players still eligible next season, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
